How to set up GSA SER on a VPS
Six steps from an empty server to GSA Search Engine Ranker building links. The manual route is below; the all-inclusive route collapses steps 1–5 into a single purchase.
Setting up GSA SER on a VPS by hand means buying and wiring together five things. Here's the full sequence — and where an all-inclusive VPS shortcuts it.

Get a GSA SER VPS
Choose a Windows VPS sized for GSA SER (at least ~8 GB RAM and several cores). With an all-inclusive VPS this is the only purchase — proxies, captcha solving and the link list come with it.
Add your GSA SER licence
Install GSA Search Engine Ranker and enter your licence, or hand the licence to the provider so they install and activate it for you. This is the one component you must own.
Connect proxies
Point GSA SER at your proxies — public proxies for scale and dedicated proxies for stability. On the all-inclusive VPS these are pre-loaded and auto-update every 15 minutes.
Enable captcha solving
Connect a captcha service so GSA SER can clear reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, image and text captchas. Unlimited solving is already wired in on the bundled VPS.
Load a verified link list
Import a verified site list so GSA SER posts to targets that already work instead of crawling blindly. The recommended VPS attaches the AVS verified list and keeps it updated in real time.
Configure and run
Set threads to roughly 10 per proxy, point projects at the verified list, start, and watch the verified count climb. On the all-inclusive option these settings are already optimised.
Common setup mistakes
- Importing the list as "identified" instead of "verified" — this makes GSA SER re-test everything and wastes hours.
- Too many threads for your proxy count — keep roughly a 1:10 proxy-to-thread ratio.
- Running on a home PC — it sleeps, drops connections and exposes your IP. Use a VPS.
- No captcha solver — without one, GSA SER stalls on gated targets.
Skip steps 1–5. Add your licence and run.
The all-inclusive VPS arrives with proxies, captcha solving, the verified list and GSA SER already configured.
